The MyProtein protein powder comes in three different size packages including 2.2 pounds, 5.5 pounds, and 11 pounds. Most of the flavors come in all three sizes, except the cinnamon roll flavor. Each of the protein powders has 18 grams of protein per serving, and they are all vegetarian.

The protein powders aren’t vegan though, because they’re whey protein which comes from milk.

MYPROTEIN CUSTOMER REVIEWS

On Amazon, customers give the protein powder an average rating of 4.1 out of 5 stars. One customer said they appreciated the quality of the protein powder, and his MyProtein flavor review also mentioned the care that the company gives their products. They conduct independent lab tests, so you know you’re getting a quality product.

Another customer said they preferred the chocolate smooth flavor to the vanilla and rocky road flavors. The vanilla tasted artificial, and the rocky road flavor had an unpleasant aftertaste. A third customer said the protein powder contains too much artificial sweetener, and it can get clumpy.

MYPROTEIN PRICING

Most of the protein powders cost $22 to $95 based on the sizing, but the Boston cream pie flavor is a little cheaper at $20 to $90. The pricing is about the same on Amazon and on the MyProtein website, but many of the sizes and flavors are unavailable on Amazon.

The 2.2-pound bags cost $20 to $32. A 5.5-pound bags cost $49 to $57, and the 11-pound bags cost $85 to $95.

MYPROTEIN: HOW IT COMPARES

The MyProtein protein powder is an excellent choice for anyone interested in different flavors, but there are other protein powders out there. They may not have the same variety of flavors, but these other protein powders are worth comparing.

MYPROTEIN FLAVOR REVIEW

We looked for similar protein powders with different flavor options and similar pricing. We also looked at customer reviews and average ratings for the different protein powders, because none of the other protein powders have as many flavor options. Since we weren’t able to compare the protein powders in regards to the number of flavors, we stuck to the sizes and prices of the different protein powders to make our comparison.

4/5

The Scivation Xtend Pro protein powder consists of whey and natural flavors. You can choose from chocolate lava cake, cookie butter, salted caramel, and vanilla ice cream. All of the flavors are gluten-free, and the protein powder comes in 1.8 pounds and 5 pounds. Each scoop contains 25 grams of protein, and there are no added sugars.

You can buy the Scivation Xtend Pro protein powder for $25 to $60 depending on the size and flavor that you choose, and the chocolate lava cake is slightly cheaper than the other three flavors.

Customers give this protein powder an average rating of 4.0 out of 5 stars. One customer said the chocolate lava cake was a great flavor, and another warned that the cookie butter flavor is more like peanut butter. That second customer said they had a slight aftertaste, but they would definitely purchase the protein powder again. A third customer said they had too much aftertaste.

4.3/5

The protein powder from Evlution Nutrition comes in seven flavors and two sizes. You can choose from 100 percent isolate chocolate, 100 percent isolate vanilla ice cream, birthday cake, chocolate decadence, chocolate peanut butter, cookies and cream, and vanilla ice cream. The 100 percent isolate vanilla ice cream flavor is available in both 2 pounds and 4 pounds. All of the other flavors are only available in 4 pounds. Isolate protein has lower amounts of lactose due to the particular way they process it.

Depending on the size, the Evlution Nutrition protein powder costs $25 to $55. The 100 percent isolate flavors cost about $10 more than the non-isolate flavors. If you end up liking the protein powder, Amazon allows you to subscribe and save 5 percent to 15 percent on the product.

The protein powder has an average rating of 4.3 out of 5 stars on Amazon. One customer loved the vanilla ice cream flavor, and they said the flavor wasn’t too sweet. Another customer said that the flavor tasted good, but the protein powder became foamy after they blended the powder. So it’s probably not the best protein powder for smoothies. Multiple customers said they didn’t like the taste, but it still might be worth trying since taste comes down to personal preference.

4.5/5

The Nutricost Whey Protein doesn’t have as many flavor choices as the other protein powders we looked at. You can choose from vanilla, chocolate, and unflavored protein powder. The protein powder comes in 2 lbs and 5 lbs, and both sizes are in stock for each flavor. This protein powder is gluten-free, and Nutricost claims to use a high-quality whey protein concentrate.

The protein powder costs $20 to $26 for 2 pounds and $37 to $43 for 5 pounds, and Amazon customers give this protein powder an average rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars.

One customer said they enjoyed the whey protein and it mixes well in a shaker. Unfortunately, Nutricost doesn’t list the amount of BCAAs (Branched Chain Amino Acids) on the label so you can’t track those metrics. Another customer appreciated the low amount of carbohydrates and how it fits their diet. One customer loves the taste of the protein powder, but they would prefer a resealable bag to the tub that the powder currently comes in.

3.8/5

The OPTIMUM NUTRITION Gold Standard protein powder includes casein which can support muscle rebuilding and weight management. It’s a slow digesting protein powder that’s perfect for before bed or between meals. One serving contains 24 grams of protein, and the powder is an excellent source of calcium.

Casein protein contains BCAAs, or Branched Chain Amino Acids, which help you build and maintain muscle mass. Since this protein powder has BCAAs and casein, it’s great for keeping you full between meals. You can choose from 11 flavors including banana cream, chocolate peanut butter, chocolate supreme, cookie dough, cookies and cream, creamy vanilla, fruit punch, mint chocolate chip, orange, strawberry cream, and unflavored.

You can buy two pounds of this protein powder for $20 to $35 on Amazon, and the average customer rating is 3.8 out of 5 stars. While that rating is a little low, other protein powders don’t have the same selection of flavors as this one of the MyProtein powder. One customer said the unflavored protein powder tasted horrible, but the flavored powders are delicious. Another customer said they feel great after consuming this protein powder.

MYPROTEIN FLAVOR REVIEW: IS MYPROTEIN YOUR PROTEIN?

In this MyProtein flavor review, we looked at the variety of protein powder flavors that MyProtein sells, and we compared the protein powder itself to similar protein powders on the market. MyProtein offers many different protein powder flavors from classic vanilla or chocolate to peanut popcorn and Canadian maple.

Whether you want to stick with something simple or try something new, there is a MyProtein flavor for you. While our MyProtein flavor review didn’t tackle each specific flavor, we did touch on the different sizes of packages you can get, and we addressed the pricing for each.

If you want a new protein powder flavor to try or you want to try out MyProtein, the company, we suggest you give it a shot. They have something for everyone, and all of the protein powders are vegetarian. MyProtein even has one protein powder that’s gluten-free.

The Scivation Xtend ProEvlution NutritionNutricost, and OPTIMUM NUTRITION protein powders are great options, too. They have similar sizes and prices to the MyProtein, but MyProtein is the only company that offers 11-pound bags. Because the other companies don’t have nearly as many flavor options as MyProtein, it can be easy to write them off. If you’re happy with a simple protein powder, then you won’t need to switch to one of these crazy flavors.

When you’re looking for a protein powder, you want it to taste good. Most importantly, you want the flavor to be something you already enjoy. If you’re not a fan of chocolate, then there’s no reason for you to choose a chocolate protein powder. While other protein powder companies do have a selection of flavors, they aren’t as extensive as the MyProtein flavor selection.
