Click here to listen to the interview with IFBB Pros Don Long and Vince Taylor

(Mac users click here to listen)
The current episode of Muscle Radio started with an in depth session with IFBB Pro Don Long. As many of you know, Don is planning to compete in the Atlantic City Pro Show in September but needs to get approval from the IFBB to do so in light of the kidney failure he suffered in 1999. Don took advantage of his appearance on the show to tell the WHOLE story, including a new form of dialysis he is on called “nocturnal dialysis”, his current health status, whether he intends to use diuretics and the real reasons that competing in this one event is very important to him. We also had Don’s sister on the air with us discussing her feelings about her brother’s return to the stage as well as Jim Manion’s current feelings about Don’s proposed comeback.

Next up, bodybuilding’s most controversial competitor at the moment, Vince Taylor, came on the air and talked about the exact details of the reasons he recently decided not to compete in the PDI and to stay with the IFBB and compete in this year’s Olympia. Vince spared no words in publicly speaking on the issue for the first time and also addressed whether there was any attempt by the IFBB to bring him back by securing a supplement contract for him or paying him a large sum of guest posing money, as was rumored on the internet. If you want to know exactly why Vince made the choices he made, straight from the man himself, Muscle Radio is the place to get it!

Click here to listen to the interview with IFBB Hall of Famer Lee Labrada

(Mac users click here to listen)
One of the true living legends of bodybuilding, Lee Labrada, came on for part 2 of his Muscle Radio interview. On part 1, Lee talked about his storied bodybuilding career and the state of bodybuilding today vs. the era when he competed in the 90s. Part 2 was all business as Lee disclosed the details of his Weider contract back in the day, why he turned down a $250,000 offer to join the WBF and being the first athlete to endorse Met Rx and help launch the company. Lee also talked about how and why he started his company, Labrada Nutrition, being named the fitness czar of the City of Houston and the program he created to get that city taken off the top of the annual Americas Fattest Cities list published by Mens Fitness. Last but not least, Lee detailed the exact diet, training and cardio programs he would put a hypothetical bodybuilder on for them to get shredded. This was a fascinating peak into the business side of the industry and a fail-safe program to get in shape by someone who is more than qualified to speak on both subjects.

Click here to listen to the interview with IFBB Pro, Marcus Haley

(Mac users click here to listen)
Probably the most meaningful Muscle Radio episode we’ve done so far. Marcus talked about his onstage road to becoming a pro, his success when he debuted with an impressive 4th place finish at the Colorado Pro Show and his training with IFBB Superstar Dexter Jackson for the upcoming pro show in Canada and, hopefully, the Olympia. Them Marcus shared his amazing off-stage story of having a crack-addicted mother, being shuffled in and out of various foster homes and a fatal shooting he was involved in with a friend. To say that Marcus got deep would be an enormous understatement. You never know who will be listening to the show that finds inspiration in his overcoming incredible adversity and a tough childhood.
